Daddy Daughter Dance

Daddy Daughter Dance

February 03, 2020

Not only did my Dad introduce me to running many many moons ago, but he introduced me to music. He is still a huge fan of music to this day. It’s not uncommon for him to go to a concert of some sort as he loves local live music, especially if it’s blues music! Growing up, we would listen to all kinds of music though, not just the blues. We even went to a couple of live music venues together and yes, we danced. This is such a great memory and one that I’m so thankful for. To this day, I love music and I love dancing; thanks Dad! One thing that the young folk (do I sound “mature” or what) have that I don’t think I had growing up are Daddy Daughter dances. It’s so cool that little girls get to go on a date with their Dad. I mean, how sweet!! These events typically take place right around Valentine’s Day. I love seeing all of the pictures of little girls dressed up in their pretty dresses out with their Daddy. One year I volunteered at The Woodlands Township Daddy Daughter dance and had a front row seat to the sweet occasion.

For those of you who have daughters and if you’re interested in attending a Daddy Daughter dance, then this blog is for YOU! There are two dances taking place not too far from Grand Central Park:

I wonder if I could attend one of these Daddy Daughter dances with my Daddy!? Ok, so maybe that window of opportunity has passed!! If you’re a Dad and have a daughter (or two or three) you could take out on a date, I hope you will. I promise it’s a memory she will never forget. Happy dancing!
