Dog Park Anyone?

Dog Park Anyone?

February 02, 2019

Lee and I don’t have children yet.  However, what we do have are three fur-babies that bark (and on a good day sit, stay and just maybe roll over). If you are a dog owner then you know how excited those fur-babies get when we grab the leash and head for the door. Actually, as you may imagine, they beat me to the door. Sometimes I take Nellie with me when I run. She looks at me intently with those big brown eyes when I grab my running shoes. She loves to venture out and explore (and run).

How exciting is it that GCP is going to be getting our very own dog park, The Frisky Biscuit? Did you know there are several wonderful dog parks near us? You don’t have to go too far to find one! There is one on the other side of 336 S near Rivershire. It’s called Kasmiersky Park and it’s not only a dog park but it is also a skatepark, playground and trails with 10 acres of fun! Or there’s one near Blue Epiphany Winery (yes, a winery… in Conroe) on Bryant Rd. It’s called Wiggins Village Park and has two parks: an inner and an outer dog park. The inner dog park is a large open area. It’s great for throwing a frisbee or ball if your dog likes to “go long” and of course it’s great for just letting your pooch roam and smell the sights! There are three other dog parks in The Woodlands, Bear Branch Dog Park, Tamarac Dog Park and Terramont Dog Park. Why is this information necessary to know? Because your dog wants me to tell you that sometimes a change of scenery is just fun and interesting! It’s also a great way to get our explore our extended community.
