Give Back During the Grand Central Park Food Drive Through Nov. 15

We’re starting the month with heart. Through Nov. 15, we are collecting non-perishable food donations for the Montgomery County Food Bank, and we would love you to help.

Gather up items such as boxed grains, juices, canned meats and seafood, pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, healthy snacks, and peanut butter. Donations can be dropped off daily at The Lake House between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Finding Place is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Get Your Groove On at Lakeside Live Nov. 13

What could be better than an evening of music set against a gorgeous lakeside backdrop? This year’s Lakeside Live, 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, will feature Zach and the 45s cranking out tunes as the sun goes down.

We’ve also lined up CJ’s Kuntry Kitchen and a dessert truck to ensure you can sing and dance the night away. It’s BYOB, so bring along your favorite beverage, as well as blankets and lawn chairs. Rocking lakeside on a Friday? We can’t wait.

4th Annual Cars in the Park Nov. 14

It’s time to rev your engine and roll into Grand Central Park for our 4th annual car show. Taking place at The Lake House, this isn’t a walk-past-the-sedans kind of event. Expect an impressive line up of vehicles, music from DJ Albert, face painting, a giant car-themed obstacle course for the kids, food trucks, and beer and wine available for purchase. Guess what? You get a say in two of the awards. Visitors can vote for People’s choice and Kid’s Choice alongside honors like Best in Show, Most Likely to Get Pulled Over, and Best Restoration.
