Grand Central Park Schools Get an “A”

Grand Central Park Schools Get an “A”

June 25, 2019

Choosing a community means choosing schools, and Grand Central Park parents rest easy knowing their children’s schools got great report cards from Niche.com.

Niche ranks nearly 100,000 schools and districts based on statistics and millions of opinions from students and parents. Grades are based on the quality of the academics, the teachers, health and safety, diversity and extracurricular activities offered.

Overall, Conroe ISD gets a “A”.  The district took the No. 1 spot on the 2019 list of Best School Districts in Montgomery County. It also placed among the top 10 districts in the Houston area.

Scores for each district were based upon data collected in eight categories. The grade for academics — based on state testing performance, SAT/ACT scores and survey responses from students and parents — carried the most weight in the evaluation, counting toward 50 percent of each district’s grade.

Niche gave Wilkinson Elementary an “A” as well. The Lions ranked No. 10 out of 60 schools in Montgomery County for the Best Public Elementary School Teachers. Wilkinson also made the top 15 list for Best Public Schools in Montgomery County.

Wilkinson is for students in Kindergarten through fourth grade. Fifth- and sixth-grade students attend Cryar Intermediate where teachers can nurture the special needs of developing tweens. Cryar received an “A” and was awarded the No. 2 spot on the list of Standout Middle Schools in Montgomery County.

After Cryar, students matriculate to Peet Junior High School where students receive a well-rounded education that includes a strong curriculum and opportunities to engage in athletics and clubs. The school got a “A” rating from Niche and is considered one of the most diverse schools in Houston.

When it comes to high school, students attend one of the top public high schools in Montgomery County — Conroe High School! The school was No. 8 out of all high schools in the county.

Congratulations to our district, schools, teachers and students. You really made the grade!
