Helping Raise $15,000 for Make-A-WishJanuary 28, 2026
Grand Central Park joined forces with six other Johnson communities to make a remarkable boy’s wish come true, raising $15,000 for Make-A-Wish Gulf Coast and Louisiana during holiday Tour of Trees event. The developer donated money for each person touring model homes adorned with extravagantly decorated holiday trees in their north Houston communities with a goal of donating $15,000 to Make-A-Wish and make Wish Kid Samuel’s dream come true. On Jan. 16 Samuel and his family joined Johnson Development staff and representatives of Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana to commemorate the family’s trip to Orlando. The family spent a week in there where Samuel got to meet Mario and other characters from his favorite video franchise. The 13-year-old, who has a neuromuscular disorder, was excited to visit Super Nintendo World at EPIC Universe. The family shared photos from their trip and staff with Johnson Development and Make-A-Wish presented Samuel and his family with a representative check and birthday gifts in honor of Samuel’s birthday the week before. Seven communities showcased 45 trees during the tour, including Grand Central Park, Grange in Katy, Jubilee and Everly in Hockley, Kresston and Briarley in Montgomery, and Amira in Tomball. Grand Central Park made a sparkling contribution with four breathtaking holiday trees. Three were beautifully displayed inside our model homes, while the fourth graced the Finding Place welcome center. But the real showstopper? A gingerbread-themed masterpiece crafted by K&A Designs in the David Weekley model home. We were proud to play a part in this holiday magic. The creativity and holiday spirit shown by every community involved were truly inspiring. As we pack away the ornaments and wrap up another holiday season, we can’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to make a real difference—one tree (or four!) at a time. |
